Since its inception in 2010, Rhythms On Da Runway has stood as a beacon of unity, fusing the vibrant forces
of African fashion and music to exalt the limitless talent that resides on our continent.
From the legendary icons of African music to the rising stars of fashion and design, we have fiercely
showcased the spectrum with pride.
Yet, our mission transcends mere entertainment; it's an impassioned endeavour to unify Africa on a night that
resonates with the harmonious echoes of music and fashion. We don't just embrace creatives from within the
continent; we open our arms to the far-reaching diaspora, championing inclusivity and nurturing creative
collaborations.
This year’s event is themed THE KENTE EDITION. The Kente cloth, originating from the Ashanti and Ewe peoples of Ghana, represents a rich cultural heritage and is often associated with social status, identity, and spirituality. Each pattern and colour in kente has specific meanings; for instance, gold symbolizes wealth and status, while green signifies growth and renewal. Kente represents true pride and unity of the people of Ghana. This theme is also in line with Ghana going to the polls and the importance of unity in this important period in our country’s history.
